Museums

Mother and daughter explore a history exhibit at a museum.

Let’s face facts: your museum needs English translation for its exhibit and promotional materials. If you want to attract international visitors, there’s no avoiding that reality.

Museum translation has its own unique challenges. In particular, as this article from the American Translators Association relates, translating for museums involves a great deal of research to ensure that translations are accurate and written in the most appropriate style.

Luckily, research is my specialty. While I was a PhD candidate in history, I spent long hours combing through archives in the United States and abroad. Writing and defending my dissertation also allowed me to hone my ability to convey complex information in accessible language.

Now I can put that expertise to work for your museum. With me, you can be certain that your labels, guides, and website copy will be carefully researched and translated into language that is both authoritative and easy for your visitors to understand.
